Hi, I'm Oscar.

I Build Things

I’m a Software Engineering student at Concordia University (grad. 2027) with hands-on experience building full-stack applications, experimenting with new and old technologies, and deploying services with modern tools like React, Python, Docker, and SQL.

Beyond higher-level development, I’m also drawn to how computers work under the hood, understanding what’s really happening beneath the abstractions helps me write cleaner, more efficient software. I thrive in teams where I can learn fast, collaborate, and push projects from concept to reality.

Things I Can Do

I’ve picked up a versatile toolkit through coursework, projects, and hands-on experience. Here are a few things I bring to the table:

  • Full-stack development
  • Design and manage databases
  • Deploy and containerize services
  • Experiment with cybersecurity & system resilience
  • Explore AI-driven solutions
  • Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

Featured Projects

Here’s a snapshot of some projects I’ve worked on that show my range and interests.

Student–Teacher Scheduling App

Built a cross-platform Electron desktop app with React and a Python backend, featuring an automatic weekly schedule generator powered by Google OR-Tools CP-SAT Solver. Originally designed to streamline scheduling for my partner’s workplace, the app emphasizes usability and persistent data management with SQLite.

FL Studio AKAI APC Key 25 Integration

Wrote a Python MIDI script to integrate a non-natively supported controller with FL Studio. Improved knob sensitivity and state retention for a smoother creative workflow.

Home Lab Server

Set up a self-hosted home lab running services like Nextcloud, Kasm Workspaces, and Passbolt, containerized with Docker and secured with GitHub OAuth and Cloudflare Tunnels. I’m currently rebuilding the lab using Proxmox for virtualization, and expanding it with Jellyfin to transform my physical movie collection into a personal streaming platform.

Contact Me

I’m currently open to internship opportunities for the Summer 2026 session.
